3D Measurement
To improve the quality check qualitative parameters the company KASPER KOVO Ltd. invested in the up-to-date technology for 3D measurement. In March 2010 the mobile FARO Arm Platinum 10 coordinate measuring machine in 6-axis version was put into operation.
The accessories also include the Polyworks® Inspector software that enables effective generation of inspection protocols.
Within the scope of installation of the FARO measuring equipment the separate measuring workstation was established, where accurate measurements are performed on the granite table and appropriate inspection protocols are elaborated. Of course, the FARO equipment is furnished so it can be operationally transferred and used for the most accurate measuring right in the production plant, e.g. on finished weldments before painting. This way flexibility and quality control effectiveness are increased.
The Platinum 10 measuring arm is the 6-axis mobile 3D measuring equipment with the body made of carbon composites.
It is equipped with the balancing system for easier handling and with the temperature sensor that enables real-time compensation of environment impacts and is in addition equipped with a battery ensuring up to 8-hour operation.

The device is used by the company for checking dimensions of parts and products that require accurate measurement with output in the form of the inspection protocol.
